The Senior Database Developer will participate in the development, implementation and operation of an enterprise-wide data warehouse, Business Intelligence reporting and data integration projects. The developer will work to understand the detailed data integration, warehousing and reporting requirements and provide on-going integration development for all enterprise database applications.  This role will require working with the IT team and end users to create complete solutions which will include data modeling, stored procedures, reporting and dashboard development and industry leading software applications.


  • Design and develop database and data marts, stored procedures, and other SQL2012-SQL2017 Database objects to support BI reporting and ETL
  • Develop advanced dashboard reports using IDashboards
  • Document, develop and execute data migration plans and activities
  • Architect Database Objects, tables, Stored Procedures etc. as needed
  • Participate in all phases of data migration, including design, development, and testing
  • Perform general database activities (debug scripts/procedures, participate in code reviews, database tuning, database optimization), performance tuning etc.
  • Review and analyze existing jobs, and design the extraction processes – for both optimizing efficiency, and conformance with new warehouse naming convention and design
  • Develop and implement procedures for software testing and data integrity checks and maintain the enterprise data loading audit schema
  • Use data mining, model building, other analytical techniques to develop and maintain customer segmentation and predictive models to drive the business
  • Translate business requirements into specification that will be used to implement required reports and dashboards, created from potentially multiple data source
  • Designing and implement BI reporting applications
  • Debugging, and troubleshooting BI solutions
  • Provide training and assistance to users for ad-hoc analysis and ad-hoc request


Qualification Requirements 

  • Ability to write complex stored procedures to extract, transform and load data from external and internal sources into data warehouse and production databases
  • A minimum of five years experience working as a database programmer/analyst using SQL
  • Experience in data migration planning and data conversions
  • Experience with relational database design
  • Ability to Load/Stage XML and Flat Files in any format into a database.
  • Experience with database administration (backup/restore, user administration, job monitoring, etc.) a plus
  • Data Modeling Experience a plus
  • Experience in developing reports and Dashboards a plus
  • Experience in SQL database integrating with web applications using ASP.Net and Angular JS is a plus
  • Ability to develop/manage/automate/monitor enterprise level ETL Batch job
  • Ability to diagram/discuss and implement work flows
  • Knowledge of working with XML schemas and XQuery is a plus
  • Experience with hosting SQL data warehouse on a cloud is a plus
  • Knowledge of data profiling and data quality concepts and techniques.

  • Bachelors’ Degree in Engineering, Accounting, Math, Science or Computer Science or Equivalent work experience is preferred
