HomeStart recently visited the Peabody, Mass. headquarters of Energi to thank employees for participating in HomeStart’s 6th annual fundraising spinning challenge, ICycle 2013. Energi’s ICycle participants kicked off the 9-hour cycling event that raised money for HomeStart, a Boston-based nonprofit dedicated to ending and preventing homelessness.

30 employees from Energi showed their support by walking while other employees and family members supported Energi’s fundraising efforts.

Energi’s extensive internship program places an emphasis on giving back to the community.

Energi collaborated with the Peabody YMCA on a team building project. The YMCA ran a raffle to provide prizes for children at their Peabody facility. This heart-warming event was a win-win for the Peabody YMCA and the employees of Energi.

Thirty years ago, Jim Nentwig of Energi dressed up as Santa on Christmas morning to cheer up his wife and their children while she was being treated for cancer at Brigham and Women’s Hospital. While there he also visited other patients on her unit. That was his wife’s last Christmas. Instead of focusing on himself, Nentwig started Santa’s Magic.

Energi values its role as a good corporate citizen through the growth of the Energi Summer Intern Program.
